Ring the buzzer on San Felipe Springs Road and something happens that surprises first-time visitors: someone actually comes to the door, greets you by name within minutes, and walks you straight to the lounge like you've been coming here for years. That's not a policy at Del Rio Elks Lodge No. 837, it's just the culture. Reviewers consistently call it one of the most hospitable lodges they've ever walked into, and with a 4.7-star rating backed by real member experiences, that reputation is earned.

The lodge sits in Del Rio, Texas, a border city where the Rio Grande and the surrounding springs shape a community that runs deep on loyalty and fellowship. This lodge reflects that. The bar is well-stocked, the atmosphere is relaxed but alive, and the brothers and sisters who gather here treat every visit, whether your first or your five hundredth, like it matters.

What We Offer

The lounge at Lodge No. 837 is the social center of the property, a comfortable spot to share a drink, catch up with fellow members, or simply unwind after a long drive through the Trans-Pecos. The bar is run with care, and the crowd that fills those seats makes the difference.

For traveling Elks rolling through on the road, the lodge offers RV hookups with both 50-amp and 30-amp service, a rare and genuinely useful amenity that turns a stopover into a highlight of the trip. It's an ideal base for exploring Lake Amistad, the Devil's River, and everything else the Del Rio area puts on the table.

Beyond the bar and the RV pad, the lodge hosts regular Elks events, community fundraisers, and the kind of informal gatherings that keep a lodge alive between the formal meetings. If you're a member traveling through or a local looking to get involved, this is the place to start.

"This Lodge is a great find. Ring the buzzer and prepare to be escorted into a very nice lounge with some of the most hospitable Elks that you will ever have met. You will immediately be invited to join them. In all likelihood, the first drink or two will magically have been paid for. Food service is limited but the pizzas are very good. If you are fortunate enough to be offered a tour of the Lodge be sure to take it. The Lodge Room, in particular, is very impressive. There are a combination of 30 amp and 50 amp sites, all with water. The sites are on gravel and all have a raised BBQ available for cooking. Del Rio is an interesting small city and well worth a day or two of exploring, if you have the time."

"We spent one night in the RV sites at the Del Rio Elks Lodge and the sites were just fine (water and electricity). One member drove over to ensure that we had everything we needed. The folks at the bar were very friendly and we enjoyed our evening. They do allow smoking in the bar, which kinda drove us out early."
